In late 2019, HuiLongTang Culture & Arts Co., Ltd. brought the magic of traditional Chinese lantern craftsmanship to the French Riviera with a spectacular exhibition at Parc Phoenix in Nice, France. Running from November 29, 2019 through February 23, 2020, this 87-day festival transformed the botanical gardens into an illuminated wonderland that attracted visitors from across Europe.

The exhibition featured over 50 custom-designed lantern installations, ranging from massive 30-meter Chinese dragons floating on the park’s central lake to intricate traditional Chinese vase displays with delicate plum blossom motifs. Highlights included a magnificent “Double Dragons Playing with Pearl” water installation, a vibrant panda family scene, elaborate peacock displays, and an immersive light tunnel experience.

Our team handled the complete production cycle: design conceptualization at our Zigong headquarters, fabrication using traditional silk-on-wire techniques combined with modern LED lighting, international shipping in specialized containers, on-site installation by our experienced technical team, and daily maintenance throughout the exhibition period.
The festival received extensive local promotion, including full-wrap advertising on Nice's tram system, and was featured in regional tourism publications. Visitors experienced not only the visual spectacle but also Chinese cultural performances, traditional cuisine from on-site food vendors, and interactive photo opportunities with the lantern displays.

This project demonstrated HuiLongTang’s capability to deliver large-scale cultural exhibitions internationally, managing complex logistics from production in China to installation in France, while adapting designs to resonate with European audiences.
