Frequently Asked Questions
What organisers ask us most often before sending a brief. If yours is not here, ask us directly.
Are you a Zigong-based manufacturer of festival lanterns and animatronic dinosaurs?
+
Yes. Our workshop is in Zigong, China, the city that has been making Chinese lanterns for centuries. We started in 2012 and build both product lines ourselves: festival lantern displays, animal and zodiac lanterns, and animatronic dinosaurs and creatures. You deal with our own design and production team, not an intermediary.
What products do you offer?
+
Two lines. Festival lanterns cover Chinese New Year and Lantern Festival displays, animal and zodiac lanterns, dragon lanterns, giant walk-through archways and tunnels, and Christmas and winter light shows. Animatronic covers life-size dinosaurs and animals built on a internal frame with an articulated motion system and a hand-finished skin. Our surface finish rubber skin is protected by patent ZL 2022 1 0224489.5.
How do I get a quote?
+
Send the venue type, the pieces you have in mind, rough sizes and your opening date, by form, email or WhatsApp. You get a written proposal with 3D renders and an itemised quotation, normally inside 24 hours. There is no charge for the proposal.
What is the typical price range for custom lanterns and animatronic dinosaurs?
+
There is no list price for this work. Size, the number of motion axes on a figure, the skin finish and how many pieces are in the programme all move the number, and one animal lantern and a full festival site are not in the same range. Send the piece list and your venue, and we will price it line by line.
Do you ship internationally? How long does it take?
+
We ship to buyers in 50+ countries. Sea freight from China takes 15 to 30 days and air freight 3 to 7 days. Large programmes travel as modular sections in custom crates with the container load planned in advance, and the export paperwork is prepared on our side.
Can you custom design a lantern or dinosaur for my event?
+
Almost everything we sell is custom. Send reference photos, a sketch or a written description, and our designers come back with pose studies and 3D renders before anything is built. Size, colour, pose, lighting and, on animatronic figures, the motion programme are all settled at that stage. Production starts only after you approve the final render.
How far in advance should we place an order?
+
For a seasonal opening, eight to twelve weeks ahead is comfortable. That covers production, sea freight and the installation window. Chinese New Year and Christmas are the tightest periods, so orders placed before early November hold a production slot.
Do you install on site?
+
Yes. On large programmes our own technicians travel to the venue and handle assembly, testing and operator handover. Installation usually runs two to seven days depending on scale. If you would rather use local crews, we send a supervisor and supply assembly manuals and video guides.
