Wind over water runs higher than over land at the same site, and there is no shelter. The platform is wider than looks necessary for that reason: a narrow pontoon carrying a tall dragon heels over in a gust.

The Pearl Is the Composition

The pearl between the dragons is not a light fitting. It is the reason the arrangement works.

Build it as a lit sphere on its own frame rather than slung between the dragons. A suspended pearl moves independently of both and reads as loose.

Getting It On the Water

Launch is the part of the project that gets scheduled last and goes wrong first.

Sections travel by road and enter the water by slipway or crane, depending on the bank. Pontoons are assembled afloat, then the dragons are lifted on in sections and fixed down.

Mooring is by anchor block or driven pile, with four to six points on a span this size. Service access is by boat, so every driver and connection has to be reachable from the deck edge rather than from the middle of a dragon.
