1. The Iridescent Plumage Is the Whole Point
Every one of the 200-plus feathers on this bird is individually shaped, painted in three layers (base, mid-tone, highlight) and lit from the back so the colour reads even under daylight. Gold at the chest transitions through copper-orange along the wing to electric blue at the tail tip — a gradient that only works because every feather is laid by hand, not printed on a panel. From three metres away the bird reads as sculpture. From twenty metres it reads as a phoenix landing mid-dive.
