Deer Lantern Group is built around deer at several scales, one in mid-leap. Like every piece we make, it starts from the position it will occupy rather than from a catalogue photograph: the height, the surface and the distance a visitor stands at all feed into the frame. This build runs at 灯组散摆6m as specified in the current stock list.

The leaping pose is what gives a deer group movement; a set of standing animals reads as a display rather than a scene. Construction follows our standard build: 整体钢架结构，铁丝造型，彩绸布分色裱糊，部分LED灯带勾边，部分喷布处理，美术处理整，体LED光源内透。

Where it works

Animal forms carry a theme into the parts of a site a single feature cannot reach: the corner of a plaza, the gap between two stalls, the strip of grass beside a path. That is why they are usually specified as a small group at two or three scales rather than one large piece, and why the ground-level pieces matter as much as the landmark.
