Giant Chinese Scroll Lantern Display – Illuminated Painted Scroll Installation

Turn a festival courtyard into a living painting with this giant Chinese scroll lantern display — an oversized illuminated scroll that hangs above visitors and turns the route into a walk-through gallery rather than a simple path of lights.

Designed as a ceiling-hung centerpiece for Chinese New Year lantern festivals, cultural parks, museum nights and botanical-garden light trails, the scroll features a hand-painted landscape that unfurls edge to edge with warm internal LED illumination. Because the artwork is instantly readable as “Chinese art,” visitors slow down, look up and photograph it — which makes the scroll an ideal anchor piece at the start of a route, the turnaround point of a loop, or above a water feature where the painting mirrors below.

Every scroll is hand-crafted by master artisans in Zigong, Sichuan, using a weatherproof internal frame with internal support ribs, a high-density fabric skin, and LED light fixtures compatible with 110–240 V power. The piece is lit on both faces so it works whether guests walk beneath it or view it from across a lake.

The scroll is fully customizable: length and diameter from 6 m courtyard pieces to 25 m+ overhead spans, artwork ranging from traditional ink landscapes to zodiac scenes, sponsor city skylines or festival-specific motifs, lighting behavior from static warm white to slow color fades and synchronized chasing effects, and hanging hardware from cable rigging for pavilions to a self-supporting gantry for open lawns.

Best placed in entrance plazas, covered pavilions, promenade canopies and atrium spaces, the illuminated scroll gives operators one piece that defines the entire festival aesthetic — readable from far away, photographable at night, and endlessly shareable on social media.

Key Features

🎨 Instant “Chinese Art” Recognition

A scroll is instantly readable as Chinese art. Unlike abstract light shapes, it carries story expectation — visitors slow down, look up and photograph it, making it a natural social-media moment.

🏗️ Vertical Drama Without Vertical Engineering

Hung horizontally, the scroll fills sightlines and creates overhead drama without the cost and permits of a tall metal tower. Ideal for venues with existing pavilion structures.

🪞 Double-Sided Viewing

Painted and lit on both faces, the scroll works whether guests walk beneath it, view it from across a lake, or photograph it from a balcony level.

🖌️ Theme-Flexible Artwork

The painting can be adapted to local stories, zodiac years, sponsor branding or a host city’s landmarks — one piece that carries the event’s identity.

💡 Full Lighting Program

From static warm white to slow color fades and synchronized chasing effects, the lighting behavior is programmed to match the festival mood.

📐 Scaled to Your Venue, Not the Reverse

Lengths range from 6 m courtyard pieces to 25 m+ overhead spans, with cable rigging for pavilions or a self-supporting gantry for open lawns.

🏛️ Turnkey Festival Anchoring

One scroll defines the entire festival aesthetic — readable from far away, photographable at night, and shareable across social channels.
