Christmas Reindeer Light Sculpture, Silver Wire Frame
Light sculpture · Holiday collection
A full-standing reindeer built on a silver wire frame with a red and white patterned collar. The open structure keeps sightlines through the piece, so it works in front of a building or a window display rather than blocking it.

A solid figure in front of a shopfront is a wall. A wire frame reindeer is a filter: you see the animal, and you still see what is behind it. That is why this construction is the standard choice for plazas, forecourts and any position where the display has to share space with architecture or a window scheme.
The frame is welded from rod and lit along its length, so the animal is drawn in light rather than filled in. The collar carries the colour. The whole piece stands on a base plate that can be ballasted or anchored depending on the surface.
Construction
Welded rod skeleton
The pose is built as a real skeleton first, so the animal carries its own weight without visible supports.
Lit along the frame
Light runs along the rod rather than sitting on a surface, which is what gives the drawn-in-light effect after dark.
Patterned band
The collar carries the seasonal colour and is the one part of the piece that can be re-skinned between seasons.

Positions it suits
Plaza centres where the piece has to be seen from every side. Forecourts where it stands in front of a building rather than blocking it. Retail frontage where the display shares space with window schemes. Paired positions along a route, where two or three reindeer at different scales read as a group rather than a line of duplicates.
Worth knowing: because the structure is open, this piece tolerates exposed positions better than a solid figure of the same size. It presents much less sail area to the wind, which usually means a lighter base.

How tall can it be built?
Height is set by the viewing distance. As a guide, a piece meant to be read across a plaza needs to clear the heads of a crowd at the far edge. Send us the distance and we will size it.
Does the open frame make it fragile?
No. The rod skeleton is welded as a structure and carries its own load. Open construction changes how the piece behaves in wind, not how strong it is.
Can the collar colour be changed?
Yes. The collar is the colour element of the piece and can be built to a property or sponsor palette.
Can several be built at different sizes?
Yes, and it is the most common way to use them. A group at two or three scales along a route reads better than a single large piece in most venues.
Planning a reindeer piece for a specific site?
Send the position, the surface and the opening date. We will reply with what is buildable in that window.
