Fire Phoenix Lantern — Giant Illuminated Phoenix Sculpture
A phoenix is the one silhouette visitors recognise before they can name it, and it is the shape that photographs best after dark. This fire phoenix lantern opens both wings above a rockery base and tapers down into a tail that reads as flame rather than as a painted bird.
Colour does most of the work here. The finish runs from pale gold at the wing tips through orange and into deep red along the body, and the gradient is laid in by hand, so the bird still looks like fire in daylight with the modules switched off.
Scale is set by the sightline, not by the drawing. A phoenix seen from five metres is a large bird. The same bird seen from twenty-five metres across an open plaza is a landmark, and that is the version worth building. Give it the open ground and the wing spread carries the space on its own.

Where This Display Works
Lantern Festival Centerpieces
Place it at the visual end of the route and visitors walk the entire show to reach it. The wing spread still reads from the far side of a plaza.
Theme Park Themed Zones
A landmark for a fire, mythology or legend zone: one object tall enough to hold the skyline above everything else in the area.
Waterfront and Lake Settings
On a lake platform or a floating base the sculpture gains a second image in the reflection, and the height a visitor perceives roughly doubles.
City Plazas and Civic Events
Scales down to a plaza-sized piece for Lunar New Year, mid-autumn programmes and twin-city cultural events without losing the proportions.
Key Features
Sculpted Wing Spread
Each wing feather is framed and angled on its own, so the wing has depth from the side. A printed flat panel only works from directly in front.
Hand-Painted Fire Gradient
Gold at the tips, orange through the wing, deep red at the body. Painted by hand so the transitions stay rich instead of banding into flat colour.
Lighting Inside the Wing Frames
Warm modules sit within the feather frames, which makes the glow follow the shape of the wing rather than pooling behind one large panel.
Base with Hidden Anchoring
Anchor points and cable runs sit inside the rockery base, so the sculpture looks planted in the ground instead of propped on top of it. The base can be exchanged for a water platform or a mirrored plinth.
Modular for Freight
Wings, body, tail and base pack as separate modules in standard containers, with numbered sections and a site assembly drawing.
UL/CE-Listed Electrical Components
Lighting and power components are UL/CE listed, with wiring routed internally and an outdoor-rated control enclosure.

FAQ
How large can the phoenix be built?
Our standard range runs from about 4 m to 12 m of wing height. Larger birds are engineered to order: send the site dimensions and we confirm what the ground and the sightline can carry.
Can it be installed on water?
Yes. The base can be built as a lake platform or a floating unit with water-rated cabling. That is the configuration that produces the doubled reflection image.
Can the lighting change colour through the evening?
It runs as a steady warm glow or as programmed sequences: slow colour drift through the wing, a pulse timed to a show cue, or a fixed festival palette.
Does the sculpture need guy wires?
On an open site we normally specify a base with enough ballast to stand unsupported. If the position is exposed to wind, we add discreet stabilising lines and confirm the wind load the structure is designed for.
How does it ship, and how long does installation take?
It ships as modular sections in standard containers with numbered components and an assembly drawing. Installation time depends on height and base type, and the site schedule is agreed before production starts.
Can we pair it with other pieces to build a whole route?
That is how most festival routes get built. Phoenixes sit well with dragon gateways, corridor lantern runs and water pieces. Tell us the story and we design the sequence around it.
How do we start a project?
Send the venue type, the available footprint and the event dates. We come back with a free 3D concept and a proposal for the configuration that fits the site.
