Suspended Atrium Festive Lantern Collection
Holiday & Seasonal · Suspended installation
A coordinated collection of festive lantern figures suspended from the ceiling of a covered atrium. The scheme uses height rather than floor area, so a shopping centre keeps its ground level open and still reads as decorated from every floor.

Most decorated atriums fail for the same reason: the display sits on the floor and competes with the people walking through it. Hanging the scheme removes that conflict. Visitors pass underneath, the retail units keep their sightlines, and the decoration is visible from the escalators and upper balconies where people actually spend their time looking down.
The collection is built as one coordinated set rather than a series of unrelated pieces. Figures, stars, ornament forms and gift motifs share a lighting temperature and a scale relationship, which is what makes the atrium read as a designed scheme instead of a decoration contract delivered in boxes.
Why suspension works
Nothing obstructed
The floor stays clear for circulation, pop-ups and events. Nothing has to be fenced, guarded or repaired because a visitor walked into it.
Reads from every balcony
A mall is viewed from above far more than most venues. Suspended pieces are seen from the upper levels, where the footfall actually is.
Installed from the ceiling structure
Hanging points are set from the building structure, so the scheme does not depend on the floor surface or on ballast.
What we need from you
| Item | What to send | Why it decides the design |
|---|---|---|
| Ceiling structure | Type of roof, trusses or slab, and the available fixing points | Everything hangs from this. It sets the maximum load per point. |
| Clear height | Floor-to-ceiling height and the lowest walkable level | Sets the scale, and how far a piece can hang before it becomes a hazard. |
| Coverage area | Atrium footprint and how the levels are arranged around it | Determines how many pieces the scheme needs to read as full. |
| Power access | Where supply can be taken and whether cable drops are permitted | Suspension schemes live or die on how power reaches the ceiling. |
| Opening date | The date the atrium has to be finished | Installation in a trading centre is usually overnight. That changes the plan. |
Worth knowing: in a trading centre, installation normally happens out of hours and in a fixed sequence. Working out the hanging order before production starts is what keeps the centre open during the build.

Can it be built for a specific ceiling height?
Yes. Scale is set by the clear height and the levels the scheme has to read from. Send the measurements and we will size the pieces to that space.
Does it need structural work?
Normally the existing structure is used. Where the load per point is limited, the scheme is split across more points rather than reinforced.
How is it installed?
Out of hours, in a fixed sequence, usually overnight in a trading centre. Sections are prepared and tested before they are lifted.
Can the palette follow our brand?
Yes. Lighting temperature and colours are build choices, so the scheme can be matched to a property palette or a sponsor’s.
